Owner

Angelina Rodgers, MS, LPC

Angelina Rodgers is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and the owner of Heatherstone Counseling Services. With over 20 years of experience in the field of mental health, she is committed to building a warm, supportive, therapeutic relationship crucial to each client’s success. She has extensive experience working with adults, couples, families, teens, and children, with a special focus on relationships and trauma.

She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for PTSD and trauma. This treatment can bring about significant improvements over time. In addition to trauma work she is competent using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills to treat anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, self esteem, emotional regulation and more.

Angelina has also completed training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level I, II and III, one of the most effective and evidence based types of treatment for individuals struggling with their marriage or relationship. In addition to traditional couples appointments, she also offers couples counseling marathon intensive sessions, which include full day appointments for clients to process, heal, and learn the skills necessary for successful, healthy relationships.

In her free time, she loves spending time with her children and family at the beach, and traveling to new places with her husband.

Katherina Kapur licensed social worker
Katherina Kapur, LCSW, CAADC

Katherina Kapur is a licensed social worker currently pursuing her Licensed Clinical Social Worker License.

Katherina’s approach to therapy is person centered, patient, trauma informed and compassionate. She has backgrounds in DBT, CBT, substance abuse, and currently hold a Certfied Addictions Counselor certificate. She also thoroughly enjoy helping teens and children, as well as their families. In addition, she is also comfortable working with couples as they navigate relationship challenges, and is trained in Level I Gottman Method Couples Counseling.

She is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy, also known as CPT. CPT is a highly effective, evidence based treatment for trauma and PTSD, She is trained in Level I Gottman Method Couples Counseling.

In her free time she enjoys time spent with family and watching  ice hockey.

Despina Aftosmes, MSW, LSW, CAADC
Despina Aftosmes is a Licensed Social Worker and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor with more than 25 years of experience delivering compassionate, client-centered care. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Temple University and has built a distinguished career supporting individuals, couples, families, and adolescents across diverse community settings.
Despina is dedicated to fostering a safe, supportive environment where clients feel empowered to explore the challenges impacting their emotional well-being and personal growth. Her clinical expertise spans couples counseling, relationship and family dynamics, anxiety, depression, stress management, bipolar disorder, grief and loss, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and co-occurring (dual diagnosis) conditions.
In addition to her clinical work, Despina brings valuable experience supporting middle and high school students as a trained Student Assistance Team member, helping youth navigate academic, emotional, and behavioral concerns.

Her therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with solution-focused strategies, equipping clients with practical tools to build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and achieve meaningful, lasting change.

Despina offers both virtual sessions and in-person appointments at our  satellite office in Hershey PA, located at 339 West Governor Rd, Suite 202-5, Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Nicki Stiger, MS, LAPC
Nicki has an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a trauma-informed counseling certification from Lebanon Valley College, and is currently pursuing her Licensed Associate Professional Counselor License. With more than 17 years in public education with a focus on special education and trauma, she is patient and attuned to how adversity can affect daily functioning. 
Nicki’s approach to counseling is person-centered, helping clients identify patterns, set boundaries, communicate feelings, and take control of unhelpful thoughts to gain empowerment over life’s challenging circumstances. Through an empathetic connection, Nicki helps clients find their footing when life feels uneasy.  
 
She enjoys working with a diverse range of clients, including children, teens, adults, couples, and families, and feels especially connected to teenagers and women. 
In her spare time, she is an avid reader and amateur runner. She enjoys baking sourdough bread, cooking for her family and thrift shopping. She also enjoys a good afternoon nap.

Andrea Brown, LSW, CAADC

Andrea Brown is a Licensed Social Worker in Pennsylvania with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Widener University and is also a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

Her clinical experience spans partial hospitalization, primary care, and outpatient behavioral health settings, where Andrea has supported diverse individuals, across a broad spectrum of mental health and substance use concerns.

Andrea has worked extensively with youth and adolescents ages 10–17, as well as adult populations, providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. Her background includes supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression,
trauma, life transitions, emotional regulation challenges, and co-occurring substance use concerns. Andrea also utilizes evidence based DBT principles in practice with clients of all ages.

Drawing from experience across levels of care, Andrea brings an integrative and person-centered approach that emphasizes collaboration, empowerment, and practical tools for healing and growth. She is currently focused on providing therapy exclusively to female clients, creating a supportive space for women to explore challenges, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change.

In her personal time, Andrea loves spending time with her family, reading ancient texts, growing herbs and vegetables, and practicing Mindfulness.

Elizabeth Swope, LSW

Elizabeth Swope is a Licensed Social Worker, currently pursing her Clinical Social Work License. Elizabeth’s approach to therapy is person centered, attentive, caring and supportive. She provides space for clients to explore their personal challenges and facilitates growth with compassion and patience.

She has extensive training in DBT, with specific training in PTSD and trauma, and  uses somatic techniques to support and calm activated nervous systems. She also integrates Somatic Movement, Yoga & Meditation into her therapeutic practices. In addition to her DBT and trauma work, she is also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, has experience in Cognitive Behavior Therapy,  and has completed Nature Informed Attachment and Relational Trauma courses. Lastly, she uses Gottman Method Couples Counseling strategies with couples, as it is evidence based, and highly effective. 

Elizabeth is comfortable treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma/PTSD, self esteem, relationship/marital concerns, grief, and mood disorders. She is particularly supportive of neuro-divergent clients as well as LGBTQIA+ individuals. Her favorite populations include children, teens, adults, couples and families.

In her personal time, she loves spending time with her family, being in nature, and practicing yoga.

Mellisa Ellis, LSW, LMSW

Mellisa Ellis is a Licensed Social Worker, currently pursuing her Clinical Social Work License, with dual licensure in both PA and NY. Mellisa’s approach to therapy is person-centered, strengths-based and holistic, aiming to improve wellness through the mind, spirit and body. She also has specialized training in Trauma-Informed Play Therapy.

She focuses on utilization of coping skills and mindfulness practices to help manage anxiety, depression and a multitude of other mental health concerns. Rather than fighting thoughts and emotions, she utilizes core principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to focus on embracing thoughts and feelings and focuses on not judging, but rather taking action to plan goals and have a fulfilling life. She works with children, teens, families and couples, and has experience in both leadership and clinical roles.

In her personal time, Mellisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, traveling to new places and trying new foods.
